When I started with Laura I was very overweight, depressed and unhealthy, absent from my life. I craved sugar and foods that I thought made me feel better, but I was caught in a cycle of self-destruction and I needed help. From the first email with Laura I felt like there was a way forward. Her passion and genuine care for me and what I had been going through gave me the confidence I needed to grab hold of my life and take it back. The journey was slow, it was tough, and it took all my focus and strength each day. But as the weight started to shift, slowly so did all the feelings of despair. This journey has been about rediscovering me and my life, because I existed before but now I am living. The ongoing support from Laura and her words of encouragement helped me from week to week and still do. I am happy, healthy and present in my own life now and I could not have done it without this amazing person with her passion for fitness and her patience with my individual journey, this if a lifestyle and it feels great to be living it, to be owning it, to be free.

I came to meet Laura through an ANB ‘Get the Edge Workshop’, and this was probably the best move that I ever made. In this workshop I found Laura to be so genuine and helpful that it seriously made me reconsider some of the troubles that I was having with my current trainer. I was experiencing serious detriment to my mental health with the trainer I was using and was also experiencing extreme muscle loss due to lack of nutrition and poor guidance. From the workshop I got to talking to Laura and her experience of diets and competing and decided that it was detrimental to my health and wellbeing to continue doing what I was doing, so I decided to switch and have Laura complete my eating plan. Given that I was so restricted, she could only make minimal changes to begin with, but within a period of 1 week on her eating plan I had already gained muscle back and was looking fuller. Through the process Laura was extremely helpful being available for any questions I may have, photo check-ins, changes made and a thorough explanation of things.
Laura was extremely professional, and I instantly knew this from a questionnaire that she asks all her clients to complete about training and sleeping times, food intolerances, foods you may not like to eat and other things. My mental mindset changed from being deflated to motivated and determined once again, to completing my aim of doing well in my first Fitness Modelling Competition. Laura helped me from start to finish with my fitness journey, she was super helpful on my competition day and understanding and accommodating when realising that my meals were all pushed out of time due to the shows running behind time.
Laura was instantly available to answer calls and always kept me motivated through supportive and inspirational messages. I cannot rate Laura highly enough and know that she is dedicated to her clients, as much as she is to her own training and lifestyle. Through Laura’s wide knowledge and support I managed to compete at my first competition and won the 2014 Novice Fitness Modelling Division and also won 2014 Overall Fitness Modelling Champion. I could not be happier with my efforts, and could not have done it without the support and guidance of Laura, both before, during and after comp support was amazing. She helped me to transition out of comp mode and reverse dieted my properly and gave me advice and guidance on this. After having a break from the fitness modelling comp prep, I can honestly say that I cannot wait to start prepping again in September and have Laura by my side through the process. This woman is inspirational, and if all trainers were as down to earth and genuinely cared about people and their health then the world and fitness industry would be a much better place. I am lucky enough to have experienced this support with Laura, and know that if you have her on your team you also will!!!
